Greetings

Greetings! I am from Britain and I like to travel around the world. I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Auburn University.

Before that, I was working as a Postdoctoral Fellow in mathematics at the Technion Israel Institute of Technology, hosted by Ron Aharoni.

I obtained my PhD degree from Carnegie-Mellon University‘s Algorithms, Combinatorics, and Optimization program, where my advisor was Wesley Pegden. I graduated in August 2018 with a thesis on the subject of Online Algorithms and Extremal Structures.

My research interest is in discrete mathematics, focusing on (but not restricted to) extremal combinatorics. I am always happy to discuss mathematics in my office (Parker Hall 364A) with anyone interested.

You may also reach me via email: jgb (zero)(zero)(fifty-nine) at auburn dot edu. Feel free to look at my CV.
